Loving-Kindness + Visualization = FREEDOM

I choose loving-kindness and visualization for my two practices of choice.  I believe when it comes to loving-kindness it doesn’t just have to be about someone your at odds with (such as the step-mom Rebecca).  It can also be used on someone such as family members that maybe your just frustrated with (such as my son Erik).  I believe by incorporating this particular practice into my life that I will be able to move on from my disgruntled attitude towards the particular person and feel more at ease within myself.  Negative thinking towards the individual just brings about more anxiety and feeling inside myself.  Who needs that in their everyday?

Visualization techniques are also used to help individuals manifest things or goals that they want to achieve in their life.  So for me visualization is a big part of my daily meditation/bible reading.  I try to visualize how I want my day to go each day so I can accomplish my goals for the day.  By completing the particular visualization that we completed in this unit it provides more of a wholeness feeling in our life.  Incorporating this into my personal life the mental fitness benefits will include achieving that health, happiness, and wholeness part of my life.  Sitting down and visualizing such moments will not only provide that overall warmth feeling that each of us desires to achieve it can also provide us a regular feeling of gratitude for having those moments in life especially during tough times.  I hope that all makes sense!

The farther we go in this class the more I learn and the more I know that my purpose and passion in life is Wellness Coaching!  What do you all think?

Until next time, eat right, exercise and be happy!!!

  1. Cindy,
Your visualization technique would also work for me. Me too during my bible study times take the moment to look at where I want to be and what I want to accomplish and when I put into mind that God has a plan for me, many things that would have made me worried or lose my peace are minimized. I believe that if you are finding it to be a passion, you need to go for it and that passion will carry you through the career. All the tools that we have been given in this class and also our life experiences would be very helpful. Wishing you all the best in your career as you seek to make life easier and better for someone.

  2. I also feel like visualization is an important aspect of wellbeing and health. Visualizing happiness and positivity creates an open mind and opportunity for happiness and positivity throughout your life. I feel like visualizing all things good will impact my outlook, decisions, and actions in a good way. You’re right about that including goals and plans. If you get what you put out in the universe, positivity is definitely the way to go!

  3. Hi Cindy! I also chose the loving-kindness practice, it is just draining spiritually to be negative with another person. We should understand that they are having a hard time and to either stay away from their negative mood or help them through it. I think that you will be a great spiritual coach!
